Seasons & episodes
The project structure: seasons, episodes, scenes and shots. Build it by hand or generate it from the script — from episodes down to shots — and before every regeneration the platform saves a snapshot of the previous version.

How the section works#
- Left — the project menu. “Seasons & episodes” sits in the “Project settings” group, next to “Library”.
- Top right — Add season.
- Season card. Title, synopsis, status and four structure generation buttons.
- Episodes inside the season. Number and title, synopsis, duration, status.
- Scenes inside the episode. The scene’s purpose, duration, location and an expandable list of shots.
01Season and episodes#
The project structure is a tree: season → episodes → scenes → shots. The season and episode synopses are the same text as in the tabs of the “Script” section.
- Add episode — a new episode in the season with a placeholder title; fill it in later.
- Pencil — the title and description of the season or episode. For an episode it also holds the duration: it sets how many scenes generation will suggest and the runtime target in assembly.
- Status — “In review” and the “Approve” button: this is how the team marks the structure as accepted.
Important
You cannot delete a season or episode while it has shots — the trash icon is disabled. Delete or move the shots first.
02Scenes and shots#
Each scene has a purpose, duration and location; the icons on the right are edit, archive and add shot. Drag scenes by the handle on the left.
Expand “3 shots” to see the scene’s shots with their duration and description, each with its own status. shows the prompts generation suggested.
At the bottom of the scene, “Regenerate scene shots” recreates the shots of this scene only.
03Generate the structure from the script#
The four buttons on the season card build the structure top down:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Generate all episodes | Episodes for each season — from the season synopsis and the original story |
| Generate scenes (all episodes) | Scenes for each episode: purpose, duration, characters and location from the project |
| Generate shots (all scenes) | Shots for each scene: description, duration, frame and video prompts |
| Regenerate all shots | Recreates the shots in all scenes |
Generation relies on the original story, the synopses and the character and location catalogs — so fill in the script and create the assets first.
Before running, the platform asks for confirmation and explains what happens to what already exists:
Why
The buttons take care of work already done. “Generate shots” fills in only the missing shots and leaves existing ones alone. “Regenerate all shots” keeps manual prompts and reference frames. Episodes and scenes go into a snapshot before being overwritten, and you can restore them from it.
04Version history#
Snapshots taken before episode and scene regeneration are kept on the “Version history” page: the right panel → the “Versions” tab → “Full history and JSON”. Restoring replaces the current data, but first saves one more “as-is” snapshot — so you can roll back again.
Episode and scene snapshots can be restored; the season structure snapshot from the creation wizard is kept for reference only.
What’s next#
Once scenes and shots exist, move on to the Storyboard — it shows the episode’s shots as cards with frames and video.
